In order for a vehicle to qualify for club registration, certain criteria must be met.
The following is taken from our Club by-laws regarding the Victorian Club Permit Scheme.
(Remember these by-laws were created PRIOR to the 90 day logbook scheme implementation - and the section regarding "special use vouchers" should be ignored as it no longer applies)
6. Victorian Club Permit Scheme:
To apply for Victorian Club Plates members must:
(a) be a member of the AWCC inc. for a minimum of 12 months and maintain membership.
(b) Provide a Victorian RWC for initial registration
(c) Ensure vehicle complies with Victorian Club Permit Scheme requirements as set out by the AOMC, regarding originality, and is maintained in a safe, roadworthy condition at all times.
(d) Attend a minimum of 6 club organised events per year with the vehicle.
(e) Abide by club plate laws as set out in the Victorian Club Permit Scheme Handbook.
(f) Owner/drivers are advised to carry a copy of the Victorian Club Permit Scheme Handbook and a copy of the club’s newsletter in the vehicle at all times.
(g) All new Club Permit applications are to go to Committee for approval.
6.1 Special Use Vouchers:
Special use vouchers will be issued as per guidelines set out in the Victorian Club Permit Handbook. Vouchers will be issued for:
(a) events nominated in the Club newsletter.
(b) Any event organised by a Vic Roads authorized club.
(c) Repairs and testing.
For any other use, members will need to request (in writing) permission from the committee for a permit. Where there are time constraints (i.e. a funeral), the Permit Officer may consult with 2 committee members for permission.
