In order for a vehicle to qualify for club registration, certain criteria must be met.

 

The following is taken from our Club by-laws regarding the Victorian Club Permit Scheme.

(Remember these by-laws were created PRIOR to the 90 day logbook scheme implementation - and the section regarding "special use vouchers" should be ignored as it no longer applies)

 

 

6. Victorian Club Permit Scheme:


To apply for Victorian Club Plates members must:


(a) be a member of the AWCC inc. for a minimum of 12 months and maintain membership.


(b) Provide a Victorian RWC for initial registration


(c) Ensure vehicle complies with Victorian Club Permit Scheme requirements as set out by the AOMC, regarding originality, and is maintained in a safe, roadworthy condition at all times.


(d) Attend a minimum of 6 club organised events per year with the vehicle.


(e) Abide by club plate laws as set out in the Victorian Club Permit Scheme Handbook.


(f) Owner/drivers are advised to carry a copy of the Victorian Club Permit Scheme Handbook and a copy of the club’s newsletter in the vehicle at all times.


(g) All new Club Permit applications are to go to Committee for approval.


6.1 Special Use Vouchers:


Special use vouchers will be issued as per guidelines set out in the Victorian Club Permit Handbook.  Vouchers will be issued for:


(a) events nominated in the Club newsletter.


(b) Any event organised by a Vic Roads authorized club.


(c) Repairs and testing.


For any other use, members will need to request (in writing) permission from the committee for a permit.  Where there are time constraints (i.e. a funeral), the Permit Officer may consult with 2 committee members for permission.
